It’s All About Me

“Sometimes I feel as though there are two me’s, one coasting directly on top of the other: the superficial me, who nods when she’s supposed to nod and says what she’s supposed to say, and some other, deeper part, the part that worries and dreams… Most of the time they move along in sync and I hardly notice the split, but sometimes it feels as though I’m two whole different people and I could rip apart at any second.”

The Husband and I... circa 2005

I’m doing a 21-Day Intentional Blogging Challenge with Jeff Goins this month. Today was the first day… and the assignment was hard.

I had to rewrite my About page. The original was from two years ago… when I thought I knew it all.

Or, at the very least, I would know it all soon…

In case you haven’t figured it out, I’ve given up THAT fantasy!

Anyway, here is the link to the new and hopefully improved version: About Me. I opened it up for comments, so feel free to let me know what you think.

Does my About page make you want to know more? Join me on the journey? And if you already know me for real, does it sound like it’s about ME?

  1. Hey! I’m doing Jeff Goins blog challenge too! Decided to go through the list on his blog challenge page and look up people’s blogs! I like what you have done so far. I followed you!

I’m going for the weird humor angle, so if you like that you can check out my site and we can be cool bloggers together. Ha ha. Its http://erikaviktor.wordpress.com/

    1. Thanks for stopping by, Erika! I haven’t had a chance to check out many of the blogs on that list since the list got so long so quickly. I looked at a few the first day, then overwhelm set in. Yikes! I DID check out your blog, by the way…. Very clever. I look forward to hearing more from you.

  2. The “About Me” challenge was hard. It took me ALL DAY and then I cut it down by 50% and was able to use the other half in the “Why I blog” assignment. I am a very slow writer, at least for this kind of thing.

Like you, I need a lot of private time. I didn’t realize what an introvert I am until the kids all grew up and I got and gave up a real job. I need solitude to recharge.

    1. I can definitely feel a difference when I’m over-scheduled… I worked full-time when my kids were in junior high and high school, and it didn’t seem to affect me — until suddenly it did.

And — speaking of “over scheduled”, I’ve been in that place for the past week. I’ve fallen behind on the blogging challenge. Hopefully I’ll catch up this weekend… 🙂
