Sometimes I feel as if I’m a square peg trying to fit into a round hole.

Make that “much of the time”.

Then throw in a few personal stumbles, and I can’t even find the round hole.

Or perhaps, I’m already in the hole and just can’t find my way out of it.

Having My Cake

What a crazy week this has been… and it isn’t over yet!

I’ve been working on a project for a nonprofit this week. As a result, my butt has been glued to the chair for DAYS. At least that’s how it feels.

If it weren’t for a couple of short walk/jogs I squeezed in, my poor Fitbit activity band step counter would be falling to all-time lows… or possibly calling 9-1-1.

Not only has my daily activity level been low this week, my consumption of carbohydrates has been high.

In a Pig’s Eye… or Perhaps at Hogeye

During the past 24 hours, I’ve added a new twist to my training plan… Another goal to my list.

It looks like I’ll be running a half marathon in March. The Hogeye Marathon in Fayetteville, Arkansas. March 29, 2015.

Say WHAT???

It isn’t as radical of a goal as it might sound.

Clearing Out the Fluff

Today was Day One of a new workout program… but before I could begin my workout, I spent 15 minutes clearing a space in what is supposedly a dedicated “workout room”.

Next on my agenda was to do a little writing…. but my laptop battery was dead. I pulled out an extra laptop that belongs to an organization I work for, and… I couldn’t find my mouse.
