Having My Cake

What a crazy week this has been… and it isn’t over yet!

I’ve been working on a project for a nonprofit this week. As a result, my butt has been glued to the chair for DAYS. At least that’s how it feels.

If it weren’t for a couple of short walk/jogs I squeezed in, my poor Fitbit activity band step counter would be falling to all-time lows… or possibly calling 9-1-1.

Not only has my daily activity level been low this week, my consumption of carbohydrates has been high.

Whenever one of those survey-type questionnaires asks if I see the world as “black and white” or “shades of gray”, I always answer “shades of gray”.

I definitely see shades of gray in every situation….

Well, almost.

I’m apparently color blind when it comes to my hair.

It’s Time to Do the Work

Ever since I turned… oh, perhaps 55… I’ve felt a weird sense of urgency.

“Urgency” as in “time is running out”.

I feel as if I have these things I want to do during my life, but I’m stalled… and I’m running out of time.

Do you ever feel like that?

Setting Big Goals for October

“Think big thoughts but relish small pleasures.” ~ H. Jackson Brown, Jr.

Today is the last day of September. There are 92 days left of this year (2014).

I set some goals at the beginning of the year. Small goals… and I didn’t carry out any of them.

With time a-wasting, I’ve been thinking about goals this week. What keeps me from reaching them?
